Kathleen Walsh is a legally blind music teacher and the stalking and harassment victim of Christopher Russo.

History[]

Kathleen moved to a low-rate attached rental apartment Russo leased to her, shortly before she was to start her job. For six months, Russo, obsessed with watching a woman sleep while he couldn’t see her, snuck in through her living room closet, which shared a wall with adjacent unit, and Russo would stalk Kathleen from inside the apartment while she was sleeping. The stalking progressed to taking picture, and what led to Kathleen finally calling the police was Russo kissed her without consent. The responding police didn’t take her seriously, and she even reported them chuckling at her expense. She went to the police department directly with a friend to file her report, and she was told to wait several hours. Her friend left, so she was on her own to wait, but Allison, recognizing her from dreaming about her being stalked, brought her to Detective Scanlon. She gave her report again, and sensing Scanlon also being despondent, she said she knew he was going to rebuff her report. After arguing with Allison about how it was both important to respond and tied to the false conviction of Sam Elkin for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, Amanda Crane, Allison and Lee agreed to as far as a police presence to watch her apartment and question the other tenants.

With no new developments, the team on the case was ready to pull the plug, but Allison and a dream where she was speaking with Kathleen over the phone and Russo was watching her. When Allison saw it was around the time in her dream Russo was there, she called Kathleen and told her to throw her hot coffee at Russo. After pretending to speak to her mother over the phone, Kathleen threw the drink at Russo. When she tried to run, Russo tackled her and tried to choke her to death, but thankfully, Lee called for police, and they broke through the door and shot Russo when he refused to surrender. Kathleen was rescued, and Russo was prepared for a lengthy prison sentence. After Sam was exonerated and released, the legal team told her Russo’s background and crimes, and accepted their apologies, thanking them and saying her relief for Russo’s placement in custody. Sam was also at the department, so the team introduced the two of them to each other so they’d have the answers they were looking for.
